Bone needs help!

Bone. That's what we called her. But you can give her a name of your own. She's probably never had one. So once, she can have it.

We've been helping in Egypt for a long time. We have helped with several campaigns. We have been asked by donors who have been there, who have seen it and who have helped at this shelter for years. More than 500 dogs. They are fed with bread 3 times a week. Sometimes some meat, but usually there is no money for it.

Bone. That's what we called her. But you can give her a name of your own. She's probably never had one. So once, she can have it.

We've been helping in Egypt for a long time. We have helped with several campaigns. We have been asked by donors who have been there, who have seen it and who have helped at this shelter for years. I felt stupid. When I called, I looked at Illia and Norbert and the bags of the best food, for our seniors, that they held in their hands. There was a look of disappointment on everyone's face.

I feel so stupid buying cheap food for the dogs. We do everything we can to make sure the dogs get what they need from us, the best quality we can afford. "3 times a week" sounded like a cruel joke....

We immediately launched a campaign among friends. That night, we raised €3,000. Even though everyone was before their paycheck. But we were too shocked to wait.

Then we helped a couple of other dogs and raised money for Hector, who was stabbed with a pair of scissors. And a person who did that stabbed him all the way to his skull.

And yesterday I got this photo:

And a plea to do something. The dog was 350 km away from the shelter. A trip to pick him up, overnight, 80 euros. I called friends. Already a little weakened financially, they also helped this time. The dog was picked up in the morning.

Bone was lying on an empty piece of land. She was lying and dying. From hunger. From dehydration. From emaciation.

We cried as we watched the videos. Because money for treatment is desperately needed now. I ran ahead of the crowd and promised that they would be found. Because what could we do, leave Bone on the street?

She needs you today. More than ever. Even if you never see her, because I don't know if you can take her to Poland for adoption - she has a chance to live there.

But without you, no miracle will find her. Not in Egypt.

The diagnosis is multiple wounds, severe anaemia, parvovirus. Weakened, critical condition, dehydrated. Bone is about 7 months old.... this is her start in this world.

I stand before you today and ask you to support Bone.
It is the only thing I can do for her.
So that she can live.

Even if she is miles away....
